Cookies, listed one by one.
Every cookie this site sets, what it is for, how long it lasts, and how to remove it. There are three.
01 What cookies are
A cookie is a small text file a website asks your browser to keep. On your next request the browser sends it back, which is how a site can tell that you are still signed in, or that you have been here before.
We use very few, and none of them are for advertising, profiling, or retargeting.
02 The cookies we use
| Cookie | Set by | Purpose | Type | Lifetime |
|---|---|---|---|---|
| PHPSESSID | WE MANAGE | Keeps you signed in to the client portal and carries the anti-forgery token that protects form submissions. | Essential | Until you close your browser |
| wm_returning | WE MANAGE | Remembers the name and email of the last person who signed in on this device, so the sign-in page can greet you by name. Cleared when you sign out. | Essential | 30 days |
| _ga, _ga_* | Distinguishes visitors and sessions so we can see which pages are used and how people arrive. | Analytics | Up to 2 years |
The two essential cookies are set with HttpOnly and SameSite=Lax, and are marked Secure when the site is served over HTTPS. Scripts cannot read them, and other sites cannot cause them to be sent.
03 Essential cookies
Without PHPSESSID there is no way to stay signed in between pages, and no way to confirm that a form submission came from the page we served rather than from another site. Blocking it means the client portal cannot work at all.
wm_returning stores only the name and email of the last account to sign in on that device, so the sign-in screen can greet you. Signing out deletes it.
04 Analytics cookies
We use Google Analytics 4 (measurement ID G-0Y54VQ4B2K) to understand which pages are useful and how visitors reach the site. It receives your IP address, device and browser information, and the pages you view, and it may process that outside Iraq.
These cookies are optional. Declining them changes nothing else about how the site works.
05 How to control cookies
Every browser lets you see, delete, and block cookies, usually under Settings → Privacy. You can remove ours at any time.
- To opt out of analytics only, install Google’s opt-out browser add-on, or turn on your browser’s tracking protection.
- To block everything, disable cookies for this site, but you will not be able to sign in to the client portal.
06 Changes to this policy
If we add or remove a cookie, we update this page and the cookie section of our Privacy Policy together, so the two never disagree.
